Fabiano Parisi, serious injury changes market plans of at least three companies

The verdict of the clinical examinations carried out Monday at Villa Stuart leaves no room for interpretation: Fabiano Parisi has suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. A serious injury, arrived during Sunday’s match against Juventus, which will force the Fiorentina side to a long stop and will have inevitable repercussions on the summer market as well.
For the class of 2000 it is one of the most difficult moments of his career, among other things on the eve of a summer session that could have reserved important news for him. Lazio, which had expressed interest last year but had been forced to give up due to the market blockade, had kept the dossier alive, but the long expected stop puts everything back on the table and forces and veer to other targets.
Similar discussion for Torino, which had evaluated the player as a possible reinforcement for the left flank. Parisi certainly remains an esteemed profile, but the impossibility of having him available for the summer preparation and for the first months of next season will inevitably push the two clubs to look elsewhere.
The problem, of course, does not concern only the suitors. Fiorentina is also now faced with a concrete need: finding a new left flanker so as not to start the season with a glaring gap in the squad. Parisi’s absence, coupled with the need to guarantee depth and rotation in the role, obliges the purple leadership to move decisively on the market.
The club will have to identify a reliable profile, capable of guaranteeing continuity in the immediate future and of integrating quickly into the system of play. A choice that could also influence medium-term planning, considering that Parisi’s contract is still long and has an expiration date of June 30, 2029.
