Treviso watchful, for JP Macura the'insidiousness comes close by

Apu Udine continues to monitor the market in search of players capable of guaranteeing points and offensive quality. Among the most appreciated profiles is JP Macura, protagonist of a very positive end of season with Treviso, where in the last 11 games he traveled at an average of 17.8 points. Thanks also to the former Tortona in great form, Marcelo Nicola managed to win the salvation of the Veneto club.
Already last summer Macura’s name had been approached to Apu, although then it was more of a mere suggestion. This time, however, the interest seems real. Moreover, the Lakeville player occupies the same position as Alibegovic, a detail that could fuel an interesting market derby between the Triveneto teams.
On the Alibegovic front, however, the situation is far from simple for the Friulians. The bianconero captain, despite still being bound to the club by another two years of his contract, has reportedly ended up in the sights of the new Roman club that acquired the sports title of Vanoli Cremona and is preparing to debut in Serie A with an ambitious project linked to NBA Europe. According to a report in Messaggero Veneto, in the presence of a significant offer for the player and adequate compensation for the Friulian club, the deal could materialize as early as in the next few weeks.
The Donnie Nelson-led group would also have in its sights Amar Alibegovic, Mirza’s younger brother, who ended the season in Spain with Granada after a stormy separation from Trapani. The two brothers would thus find themselves on the same roster for the first time in their careers, having followed very different basketball paths until now. It should be noted, however, that on the Amar front there was also strong competition from Napoli Basketball: the Neapolitan club, led by new coach Jasmin Repesa, who had already coached the player in Trapani, would be in advanced stages of negotiations to secure his performance.
To further complicate the market planning at Apu, there is also the situation related to Andrea Calzavara. The young point guard class of 2001, who turned out to be one of the staples of coach Adriano Vertemati’s rotations with a 12.8-point average season and a 17-point performance right on Olimpia Milano’s parquet, has reportedly attracted the attentions of the league’s bigs. Both Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna would be on him, and Calzavara’s own recent statements to fans – in which he admitted that his stay in Udine does not depend only on him – have fueled the market rumors.
