A.C. Milan has officially added two matches to its summer 2026 international friendly schedule: on July 25 the Rossoneri will face Celtic in Glasgow, while on August 15 they will take on Manchester United in Wroclaw, Poland. Two big-ticket challenges come on top of the tour of Australia and Indonesia, which will see the Rossoneri engaged against Inter Milan in Perth on August 5 and Chelsea in Jakarta three days later.

The announcement, however, has further split the fans. A substantial portion of the Rossoneri people, who have poured onto social media to comment on the new schedule, consider these friendlies a superfluous side dish at a time when perceived priorities are quite different. Fans are calling for a defined corporate structure, a recognizable technical project, and above all, the announcement of the new coach. Oliver Glasner remains the hottest name, but the company’s silence fuels uncertainty.

“It is paradoxical to plan an international tour without knowing who will leave for the trip,” reads a comment that garnered hundreds of likes under the post on the official page. Outgoing names are numerous (Rafael Leao above all), entries shrouded in mystery, and the impression of many fans is that a summer is being built more useful for accounts than for technical‑tactical preparation. A choice that, at a time of internal fragility, risks being read as a sign of misalignment between sporting needs and commercial strategies.

There are those, however, who read the summer program as a sign of renewed ambition: “We won’t be able to play against each other in the Champions League,” reads another comment, “but we can test ourselves against teams of international level. To get back to the top we need to go through this stage as well.” Milan, meanwhile, goes on its way. Part of the fans, already tried by months of uncertainty, however, are demanding answers before the intercontinental flights. And until they come, every announcement risks turning into a new front for discussion.
