MotoGP, Assen: Ogura Wins, Aprilia Sweeps the Podium. Martin Overtakes an Unlucky Bezzecchi in the Standings. Di Giannantonio Finishes Fourth

Ai Ogura won the Dutch MotoGP Grand Prix at the Assen circuit: The Aprilia rider from the Trackhouse Racing team—the first Japanese rider to win in the premier class since 2004—finished ahead of two other RS-GP bikes: that of his teammate Raul Fernandez and the factory bike ridden by Jorge Martin, who, with his third-place finish, jumps to the top of the world championship standings.
Fabio Di Giannantonio finished just off the podium, leading the Ducati riders on his VR46 team bike: behind him were Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini) in fifth, Enea Bastianini (KTM Tech3) in sixth, and Marc Marquez in seventh, who was involved in a very close battle with the riders who finished just ahead of him. Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) was out of the race after retiring due to a nasty crash that forced him to visit the Mobile Clinic (his condition is not a cause for particular concern), as was Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati), who was stopped by a technical issue.
Rounding out the day’s Top 10 were Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), Brad Binder (KTM), and Alex Rins (Yamaha). Luca Marini on Honda finished eleventh, while Franco Morbidelli (Ducati VR46) did not finish a race in which as many as six riders were forced to retire early (in addition to the three Italians, Razgatlioglu on Yamaha, Acosta on KTM, and Mir on Honda also retired).
In the standings, Jorge Martin leads the pack with 193 points, followed by Marco Bezzecchi with 186. Fabio Di Giannantonio is third with 177, followed by Ai Ogura with 168, Marc Marquez with 153, Raul Fernandez with 138, and Pedro Acosta with 133—with Acosta remaining ahead of Pecco Bagnaia, who is stuck at 130.
