MotoGp, Ducati: all the superstition of Pecco Bagnaia
Bagnaia has a 23-point lead over Quartararo
Ducati’s rider Pecco Bagnaia spoke at the press conference presenting the last weekend of the season: that of Valencia.
The Italian centaur will play for the world title with defending champion Fabio Quartararo at the ‘Ricardo Tormo’ circuit, starting, however, with a 23-point lead over his French rival.
The Ducatista admitted to relying on superstition: “I didn’t touch the trophy in the ritual photos? I’m Italian and I’m superstitious. Not many riders have their name on the trophy and you have to have a lot of respect.”
Then a wish for the Yamaha centaur: “I wish him to enjoy the last race, I hope it’s a fair battle. I think he is one of the greats and it is great to fight against him. In 2015 in Qatar at his first race I remember on the last lap he was trying to pass me and we touched, then I was eighth and he was fifth, it was our first fight. We touched each other a lot, but always good and fair battles. I think he is one of the greatest breakers and has great mental strength, as we saw in Austria and Malaysia. It was clear that Ducati was faster and more competitive, we are still in the fight and he has an inferior bike to ours, it would have been easy to lose confidence but he carried the fight to the end.”
