The Japanese GP, the third round of the F1 World Championship, was won by Antonelli. The young Mercedes star, started from pole position, thus took his second (consecutive) F1 victory. Behind him was an excellent Piastri who, after having to watch others on the track in the first two GPs, showed that he has the will to get back in the game.

GP not easy for the Ferraris. Leclerc, fighting like a lion, still managed to take third place (ahead of Russell), confirming that he is one who, in the race, never gives up. Hamilton chews bitterly. The seven-time World Champion is overtaken by many, too many single-seaters in the race. After two excellent GPs, step back for the Briton, also accomplice to a decidedly more combative McLaren.

Simmediate fireworks at the start (delayed start) with Piastri taking first place by force. Difficulties for Antonelli, who started from pole position and was overtaken by several single-seaters. The first twist on lap 22 with Bearman losing control of his Haas and ending up, brutally, against the barriers. The safety car helps Antonelli, who becomes GP leader again. The Italian driver then starts pitting a series of fast laps that launch him to victory.

With the Japanese GP over, a forced break for Formula 1. The next two scheduled events, namely the Bahrain GP and the Saudi Arabian GP, were canceled due to the well-known events regarding the conflict in the Middle East. In fact, the season will restart from the Miami GP in about a month. A break that Antonelli will enjoy to the fullest, on the strength of two wins in a row and first place in the drivers’ standings
