Ducati in trouble, Luca Cadalora points to Marc Marquez

The start of the MotoGP World Championship took many pundits and insiders by surprise, as they did not expect such a convincing start from Marco Bezzecchi and the Aprilia. On the other hand, those who are going through a complicated moment is Ducati, far from the standards of last season.
Luca Cadalora in an interview with Moto.it elaborated on the issue: “Ducati’s difficulties stem mainly from Márquez’s physical condition. Marc is perhaps running at 90 percent, or not even at that point, because he has not yet fully recovered, especially from the shoulder problem.”
But the bike also no longer seems dominant: “Already at the end of last year there were signs. I feel like I see a bike that doesn’t flow…I feel like the bike loses speed in the corners, when you take off the gas. It’s different for the Aprilia; it feels more fluid to me. There are bikes that, when you see the corner, they turn on their own … and others that need a lot more.”
Bezzecchi has won the last five races: “Really extraordinary, in Austin he largely redeemed the over-impetuousness of Saturday, where he got a bit carried away. He had an incredible race, he was untouchable for anyone.”
The obvious difficulties at Yamaha: “You are faced with a project that starts practically from scratch, like a blank page; you have no foundation, you have nothing. It is a very difficult task; they are at the bottom of the standings, and that hurts. In a situation like this, the overall motivation drops. Toprak tries to do his best, and on Sunday he was the best of the Yamahas.”
