NBA: LeBron James tries but OKC is on another planet and goes 2-0
The Los Angeles Lakers’ series against the favored Oklahoma City Thunder turns uphill. In Game 2, the Yellow Jackets were swept by a clean 125-107 and are now down 0-2 in the series.
Chet Holmgren and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 22 points apiece and the Oklahoma City Thunder had no trouble sweeping away LeBron James and co.At the moment, the Thunder have a record in the playoffs of six wins and zero losses.
In the Lakers’ house, Austin Reaves, who had struggled shooting in Game 1, scored 31 points with 10 baskets on 16 attempts in Game 2. The unflappable LeBron James, fresh off a 27-point performance, responded with another strong showing (23 points). Unfortunately for Lakers fans, the two performances were not enough to avoid the second defeat. Now the series shifts to Los Angeles for the next two challenges.
The second act of the series between Detroit and Cleveland was also played on the night. The Pistons won 107-97 (25 points by Cunningham) and now lead 2-0 in the series. For Detroit, this is the fifth consecutive win (the first time since back in 2008).
