Laila Hasanovic, star appeal at Cannes: Jannik Sinner’s girlfriend shines on the red carpet

Laila Hasanovic lit up the Cannes Film Festival red carpet in a white gown that caught the attention of photographers and attendees, confirming herself as one of the most elegant presences of the evening. The Danish model engaged to Jannik Sinner, who was in Cannes for the presentation of “Amarga Navidad,” Pedro Almodóvar’s new film in competition at the 79th edition of the Festival, chose a “total white” look with a floral-embroidered bodice that more than one, especially on social media, did not hesitate to call with a “bridal flavor.”

It is also impossible not to notice the large ring proudly flaunted in front of photographers-a detail that has fueled rumors about a major new chapter in her relationship with Jannik Sinner. While Laila paraded on the Croisette, however, Jannik was not by her side: in fact, the world number one chose to fly to South Tyrol to enjoy a few days of rest before focusing on the new adventure at Roland Garros. Two distant scenarios, but both perfectly consistent with the moment they are living.

The bond between Laila and Jannik’s world appears more and more solid and visible, after all. A few days ago she was in the stands at the Foro Italico to follow her fiancé in his triumphant ride: first alongside Mark Sinner, Jannik’s brother, during the semifinal against Daniil Medvedev, then alongside the entire family (dad Hanspeter and mom Siglinde included) for the final won in two sets over Casper Ruud. A presence that the South Tyrolean’s fans now consider a genuine good luck charm, having already seen her at the Monte Carlo tournament he won in April.

As far as Sinner is concerned, the return to Sesto Pusteria has been under the banner of absolute discretion. Everything is quiet in the village, no parties and no banners-everyone is respecting the confidentiality and rest of the champion. Mayor Thomas Summerer assured the blue star of peace of mind: “In our village he will be able to recharge his batteries to win Roland Garros. I will go and greet him for a moment but we will leave him alone, we don’t want to disturb him at all.”

These days off, for Sinner, are more than deserved: from January 1, 2026 to the final at the Foro Italico on May 17, the ATP number one ranking player spent without playing or training only 14 days out of 136 total, working basically nine days out of ten for four and a half consecutive months. In Rome he won his sixth consecutive Masters 1000, becoming the first Italian to win the Internazionali d’Italia since Adriano Panatta in 1976 and completing the Career Golden Masters.
