Brawl breaks out in Roseto: punches and shoving

Suddenly the brawl broke out in Roseto during the match valid for the A2 series playout between the host team and Ruvo di Puglia. During the first half of the match, at the end of a scrum under the basket, Ruvo’s player Jacopo Borra tries to hit with a series of punches Landi, who ended up on the floor, thus generating a brawl involving several players.

After several minutes of paraphernalia and great nervousness, the referees’ measures are not slow in coming: Borra is ejected along with Petrovic and Del Chiaro among the hosts. After a few minutes the game resumed in an atmosphere of great tension.

Roseto won 100-84 and reopened the series, setting the 1-2 mark. The top scorers of the match were Harrison (34 points) and Cannon (22) for the hosts, Anumba (22) and Miccoli (16) for Ruvo.

Sunday Game 4 again in Roseto at PalaMaggetti, with the guests having to do without their mainstay Borra, who will most likely face a heavy disqualification.
