Turin: Cairo wants triple the amount for Simeone. Full steam ahead for Ugresic

Torino is considering its attacking options for next season: the Granata are now determined to keep Giovanni Simeone for another year and have rejected another offer from River Plate, which would like to bring him back to Argentina starting in the 2026/2027 season.
The Granata club has rejected the €9 million offer from Argentina, suggesting that it will only sell the Argentine striker for a very substantial bid, significantly higher than the player’s market value. According to Tuttosport, it would take at least €25 million to convince Urbano Cairo to let him go.
Last season, Simeone scored 11 goals in 30 matches with the Piedmontese team, becoming a key player and one who is difficult to replace for Torino.
On the transfer front, Torino is focusing on Ognjen Ugresic, a 19-year-old midfielder who stood out in last season’s Serbian league. A playmaker capable of playing in a more advanced position, he possesses vision and technical skill; last season with Partizan, he recorded 8 goals and 4 assists in 44 matches. Also being tracked by several English and German clubs, his market value is around 10 million euros: the Granata executives have contacted his agents several times, and an official offer could arrive soon.
