Aprilia rider Ai Ogura was the fastest rider in the second free practice session of the MotoGP Czech Republic Grand Prix. The Japanese rider set the fastest lap time at the Brno circuit with a 1’51.735, finishing 91 thousandths of a second ahead of his teammate Marco Bezzecchi.
It was a positive Friday for the top Ducati riders: Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46 Team) was third, two-tenths behind, followed by the official Ducati team duo of Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez, separated by just a few thousandths of a second. Next up is Pedro Acosta on a KTM, followed by the top Honda rider, Joan Mir, the other Honda ridden by Diogo Moreira, the Gresini Ducati ridden by Fermin Aldeguer, and the other Aprilia ridden by Raul Fernandez.
Jorge Martin was forced into Q1, finishing eleventh, more than six-tenths behind Ogura and closely followed by Maverick Viñales and Luca Marini. Alex Marquez was also forced to go through Q1 on Saturday during qualifying: the world championship runner-up, returning from an injury, is fifteenth.

The Czech Republic Grand Prix marks the ninth round of the 2026 season, the first of a back-to-back series that will see MotoGP race at Assen the following week. Bagnaia arrives in Brno on a three-race podium streak and with renewed optimism: “We’re arriving in Brno on a high note—three consecutive podiums that have really boosted our confidence. I really love this track; it has a fantastic layout,” said the Ducati rider on the eve of the weekend. “These are two tracks that, in terms of their characteristics, are among my absolute favorites. I’m confident I can make the most of the progress we’ve made with the Ducati Desmosedici GP,” added Pecco, who trails championship leader Bezzecchi by 81 points.
