Another victory for the Ducati factory team at Brno following Pecco Bagnaia’s win in Saturday’s Sprint race: Marc Marquez won the Czech Republic Grand Prix, securing his second consecutive victory in a Sunday race and dramatically reopening the championship race, given Marco Bezzecchi’s absence due to disqualification and Jorge Martin’s lackluster performance, finishing only ninth.

The decisive pass for the win came with six laps to go, when Marquez overtook Pecco Bagnaia, who had led the race for more than half of the scheduled laps, before the Piedmontese rider was also passed by Ai Ogura, who finished second on his Trackhouse Racing Aprilia after starting from pole position.

With this victory, Marc Marquez moves up to 140 points, 40 points behind championship leader Bezzecchi, who was unable to take part in Sunday’s race after being disqualified by the stewards for an altercation with a track marshal following his crash in the Sprint Race. Jorge Martin remains in second place, moving up to 172 points, while Fabio Di Giannantonio, who finished fourth today, remains third in the overall standings with 157 points.
