Juventus Transfer Market: The Bianconeri Make a Move for an Inter Target

Juventus continues to work on strengthening its defense, and Oumar Solet is among the players they are monitoring. The French-Ivorian center back from Udinese, who made 35 appearances last season, is valued at around 25 million euros by the Pozzo family. According to rumors, Juventus executives have already gathered information on the player, who has long been tracked by Inter and was recently linked to Como.
A natural right-footer, Solet is valued for his versatility, as he can play in both a three-man and a four-man backline. To try to lower the financial cost of the deal, Juventus could offer some players in exchange. Among them is Vasilije Adzic, a Montenegrin midfielder born in 2006, who needs to find more playing time and could be an appealing prospect for Udinese.
It’s worth noting that Solet’s transfer situation is intertwined with the moves of Inter, a club that has been closely monitoring the Udinese defender throughout the summer transfer window. The Nerazzurri had already initiated contact with the Pozzo family during a strategic summit held in Milan, during which the top brass of both clubs discussed various players. However, the €30 million asking price set by Udinese at that stage was deemed excessive by Inter, which had no intention of participating in a bidding war. Juventus, therefore, is entering a scenario already explored by its rivals, attempting to capitalize on any remaining room for negotiation.
On the Bianconeri side, Adzic’s name as a possible trade chip is not entirely new in negotiations with the Friuli-based club. The young Montenegrin had already been included as a potential bargaining chip in discussions regarding Nicolò Zaniolo, further evidence of how Juventus views the 2006-born player as a card to play in dealings with the Pozzo family. In the season just concluded, Adzic logged just 123 minutes in league play—a negligible amount of playing time that prevented him from performing consistently, despite the exceptional qualities that had led him to score the decisive 4-3 goal in the Derby d’Italia against Inter.
