Argentina faced a tough challenge but ultimately secured a spot in the World Cup semifinals. At the end of a hard-fought match in Kansas City, the Albiceleste defeated Switzerland 3-1 (1-1 at the end of regulation time).
Argentina got off to a strong start when Mac Allister, off a corner kick by Messi, scored the 1-0 goal for Coach Scaloni’s team. In the second half, in the 67th minute, Ndoye equalized. Embolo made a huge mistake and was sent off for simulation (he had already been booked). The match went into extra time, where Julian Alvarez and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez sealed the victory.
