Faravelli is also gaining recognition for its wines in Lecco

Antonio Faravelli, a winemaker and golfer from Montù Beccaria (Oltrepò Pavese), owner of Cantine Vitea and promoter of the Golf and Wine 1895 project, was among the featured guests at the Swing Experience 2026, hosted by the prestigious Lecco Golf Club. Faravelli was invited exclusively to present his wines and the project dedicated to promoting the union of golf and food and wine.
The sparkling wines from Cantine Vitea attracted great interest, particularly the Metodo Classico made from selected Pinot Noir grapes, the Pinot Grigio Trame’s, and the Bonarda Gallesio—wines listed by Italy’s Finest Wines among the best in Italy and which, in the past, even won over the composer Giacomo Puccini.
Praise was also heaped on the winery’s other wines, including the Podere San Carlo Chardonnay, the Viteus Riesling—which won an award at the Hunter Award in Merano— the Buttafuoco Cà del Cervo, awarded the Corona by the Vinibuoni d’Italia guide and once described as “rhapsodic” by critic Daniel Thomases, as well as the Bonarda Historia, prized for its spicy aromas.
Event attendees were able to taste and purchase the winery’s various wines. During the awards ceremony, Faravelli also presented the “Golf and Wine 1895” relaunch project, receiving particularly positive feedback from the guests in attendance.
