After a season with Monaco, center Kevarrius Hayes, born in 1997, has decided to pack his bags, with Partizan Belgrade as his most likely destination. The American basketball player, who holds citizenship of the Central African Republic and began his European career in the 2019–2020 season with Pallacanestro Cantù, has reportedly already reached an agreement with the black-and-white club in the Serbian capital, according to the local website Meridian Sport.

“After one season with Monaco, Kevarrius Hayes is leaving the club,” reads a post on the club’s social media channels. The team will not compete in the upcoming EuroLeague, following five consecutive appearances. “He is a player of exemplary conduct who demonstrated a spirit of sacrifice and total dedication to the team on the court. Thank you, Kev; you’ll be missed at Gaston Médecin.”

Born in Live Oak, Florida, on March 5, 1997, Kevarrius Hayes graduated from the University of Florida in the summer of 2019 without being selected in the NBA Draft. From there, he decided to cross the Atlantic to Cantù, where he got his start in European basketball before playing for Asvel, Bursaspor, Zalgiris Kaunas, Paris, and Monaco.

Throughout his career, he has won three French championships (2021 and 2025 with Paris, 2026 with Monaco), as well as three French Cups (in the same years), a League Cup and a Super Cup—both with Monaco—a Lithuanian championship in 2023, and two Mindaugas Cups (2023 and 2024) with Zalgiris Kaunas.
