Where will Pogba play next: The former Juventus player is a free agent, in talks with interested teams

Paul Pogba is officially a free agent: the French midfielder has left Monaco after just one year following a disappointing season. The former Juventus and Manchester United player appeared in just 6 matches, totaling just over 100 minutes of playing time: physical issues and his precarious condition severely hampered him, and his comeback in Ligue 1 did not go as hoped.
According to L’Equipe, the 2028 World Cup champion will remain in the Principality for the time being to recover and continue his rehabilitation; meanwhile, his agents are looking around for a club where he can sign on a free transfer. According to rumors, MLS clubs in particular have inquired about him and contacted his entourage.
Pogba thanked Monaco: “I’d like to thank the President and the management, my teammates, the entire staff, and all the fans who believed in me. Representing this club and the Principality has been an incredible experience. AS Monaco is an exceptional club, and even though I didn’t play in all the games I had hoped for, I will always be grateful for the opportunity to wear these colors. Daghe Munegu!”
Here is the statement from the Principality’s club: “AS Monaco and the French national team midfielder jointly announce the end of the journey that began during the summer transfer window of 2025. Acknowledging that the objectives initially set were only partially achieved, AS Monaco and Paul Pogba have chosen, ahead of the first official match of this new season, to terminate the contract that bound them until June 2027. The Club expresses its deepest gratitude to the 2018 World Cup champion for the trust he placed in us and for the exceptional professionalism he demonstrated throughout his time with AS Monaco.”
“During his time with AS Monaco, Paul demonstrated an extraordinary attitude, determination, and a commitment at every moment. All his hard work enabled him to return to competition at the highest level after a long period of inactivity, while also sharing his experience and expertise with the professional squad. AS Monaco extends its deepest thanks to Paul and wishes him all the best for the future.”
