Milan Transfer Market: Amorim Wants Him at All Costs, 40 Million Offer

Milan is set to spend more: after shelling out 150 million euros for the signings of Mario Gila, Gonçalo Ramos, and Diego Moreira, the Rossoneri are ready to invest more money to satisfy head coach Ruben Amorim and provide him with a team already capable of contending for the Scudetto and competing with Inter.
Milan’s next target is a defensive reinforcement, which the Portuguese coach has been clamoring for for some time. With Gila now on the roster, the pool of center backs also includes Gabbia, Pavlovic, and De Winter, as well as the young Diawara, while Tomori has been deemed unsuitable and is on his way out. The top name on the list is Gonçalo Inacio of Sporting Lisbon, whom Amorim knows very well, having coached him for years at the green-and-white club.
This would be a very significant investment: Inacio is Sporting’s captain and a key player for the Lisbon team. Milan is willing to go as high as 40 million euros to convince the Portuguese club to sell him and will soon make an offer for him. If the deal falls through, Milan will turn its attention to Tiago Gabriel, the Lecce center back who is also being pursued by several Premier League clubs. The Lecce club is hoping for a bidding war and will not consider offers below 30 million.
On the transfer out front: Leipzig and Newcastle have shown concrete interest in Nkunku, with Newcastle reportedly having already reached a verbal agreement with the Frenchman’s agents on contract terms. The Magpies will now have to negotiate with Milan, which is asking for at least 30 million euros for the former Chelsea player and aims to spark a bidding war among the various interested clubs, including the aforementioned Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.
