Dolomiti Energia Trento is looking to the transfer market to try to turn things around after a start to the season that fell short of expectations. The black-and-white club is evaluating several potential moves to strengthen the roster and provide the coaching staff with more options, with the goal of restoring balance and consistency in results.

According to a report by Corriere del Trentino, one of the players on the Trentino management’s radar is Cameron Shelton, an American guard currently playing in the ABA Liga for Nutrispoint Ilirija. The American guard is standing out for his performances, averaging 13.6 points, 4 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game—numbers that confirm his scoring ability and his skill at involving his teammates in the offensive flow.

Shelton is already familiar with European basketball thanks to the various experiences he has gained in recent years. In the 2023–24 season, he first played in Croatia for KK Split and then in Israel for Hapoel Afula, while the following season he continued his career in Slovakia, playing for Spišskí Rytieri.

He took another step forward in the 2025–26 season when he moved to Latvia to play for BK Ventspils. There, the American player stood out with top-level performances, earning him the December MVP award in the Estonian-Latvian league.

His strong play subsequently led to a move to Nutrispoint Ilirija for the 2026–27 season, where he is continuing to demonstrate his skills in the ABA League.
