Torino knocks out Spezia at home, Bologna comes back and wins in Udine
Two away wins in Sunday afternoon Serie A matches.
Torino falls at home against Spezia, and so does Udinese at the Dacia Arena against a Bologna side that was able to earn the three points in the second half after finding itself trailing and risking the hosts’ equalizer until the recovery.
For Torino, fresh from its Coppa Italia success over AC Milan, the home match with Spezia was decided as early as the 28th minute by a penalty awarded on an arm clearance by Djidji after a great right-footed shot by Reca: Nzola was the one to transform the maximum penalty. At the end of the first half Vlasic puts in the net, but the goal is not there for offside. In the second half the reaction is not there, so much so that Gyasi comes close to doubling the score but hits the crossbar. Ligurians have not lost in Serie A since the Nov. 5 away match at AC Milan.
Lots of emotions in Udine, where the hosts took the lead over Bologna in the 10th minute thanks to a feat by Beto served by Success. In the recovery of the first half, the Var cancelled out Sansone’s equalizer, but the same Rossoblù striker made up for it in the 59th minute with a winning conclusion from the edge on Moro’s sumptuous assist. Chances abound for both teams until late in the game (when Barrow hits the post), but the only and decisive goal came from Posch, who beat Silvestri in the 80th minute on a corner spiked by Schouten.
