Andrea Bagioli doesn’t forget comrades in trouble
Andrea Bagioli doesn’t forget comrades in trouble;
Andrea Bagioli, on his third success of the season after a stage at the Tour de Wallonie and one at the Tour de Slovaquie, expresses all his satisfaction while talking to the press at the end of the race.
"I wanted to end my journey in this team with a victory,” he says after his triumph at the GranPiemonte. This è definitely my last win for them, because é I will be joining Lidl-Trek for the next three years, but I wish my teammates and staff that this situation will be resolved. In the finale, I knew Alex Aranburu was fast but so was Marc Hirschi, so I kept an eye on them. Aranburu anticipated the sprint before the last corner. I followed him and launched the sprint at 200 meters. Hirschi and I were very close, so I am glad I kept him behind until the end".
"The climb to Alpette è really very hard, with double-digit gradients, but I felt good and I asked Mattia Cattaneo to make a selective pace. I’m really happy to have capitalized on his work" adds Bagioli.
