Signs of goodbye between Roma and Leonardo Spinazzola
Leonardo Spinazzola-Roma, sports marriage is about to end
The roads of Roma and Leonardo Spinazzola are destined to part, perhaps already in January, certainly (if he does not find a new destination first) in June, when his contract expires. Indeed, the words of the 1993-class outside player's agent leave no room for great doubt: the adventure in the capital, which began in 2019, is about to end.
"There are no chances for renewal" said, in no uncertain terms, Spinazzola's agent, Davide Lippi, during an intervention to 'Sportitalia'. "Let's see how the January market develops otherwise he will go" to deadline" then added the same Lippi, who therefore opens the way to a possible transfer already" in the coming days.
So far there have been no concrete offers, but only soundings from Al Shabab, a club in the Saudi Professional League, and Galatasaray, which as it has shown in recent years è always very interested in players coming out of the Italian league to reinforce its roster. The player's entourage will evaluate any other offers in the meantime.
Spinazzola, born in 1993, è in his 12th season as a professional. In his career he has worn the shirts of Empoli, Lanciano, Siena, Atalanta, Vicenza, Perugia, Atalanta again, Juventus and, from 2019, Roma. In his trophy cabinet he boasts a Scudetto (2019) and an Italian Super Cup (2018) won with Juventus, the 2021-22 Conference League with Roma, and the 2020 European Championship (played in 2021) with the national team jersey, although he did not play semifinals and finals due to injury.
