Special Guests in the Algarve

Superbike faced an important day of testing ahead of the 2024 Superbike season in Portimao on Monday, but the attention of fans, in addition to the protagonists of the championship dedicated to the series derivatives, was also focused on the presence of important special guests, including Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia.

The circuit, in fact, also opened its doors for other riders, who were able to hold training sessions on bikes derived from road bikes: in addition to the 'Doctor', riding a Yamaha R1 road bike strictly with the number 46 on the fairing, have turned mostly Ducati riders, ideally led by MotoGp world champion Pecco Bagnaia.

Also present, as mentioned, were Marc Marquez along with his brother Alex, both Team Gresini standard bearers in 2024, Enea Bastianini, Bagnaia’s teammate, the two Team Pramac riders Jorge Martin and Franco Morbidelli, Marco Bezzecchi and Fabio Di Giannantonio of Team VR46, and also Luca Marini, who recently switched to Honda.

Leading from the chronometric point of view the test session è was Nicolò Bulega, on a Ducati Panigale V4 R (World Superbike participant), with a time of 1:39.913. As for the riders "guests" the focus è simply dwelt on the return to the track in view of the upcoming season, without taking care of the chronometric aspect.
