Ernests Gulbis, farewell to tennis: retiring at age 35

Ernests Gulbis says goodbye to tennis. Indeed, the Latvian giant has informed his fans of his retirement at the age of 35 (è born in Riga on August 30, 1988) via a very clear sentence posted on Instagram Stories. Over the course of his career, he collected six ATP circuit titles, achieving his highest world ranking (10th) in June 2014. That same year at Roland Garros he surrendered to Novak Djokovic only in the semifinals.
Lapidary his announcement, which came on his Instagram account: "Ernests Gulbis is officially retired", indeed wrote the Latvian. News that had been in the air for some time, taking into account his statistics: it had been over a year since he had played a tennis match on the official ATP circuits.
Known not only for his height (over 190 cm) but also for his powerful serve and the unmistakable shot in his forehand, Gulbis was also famous for his origins that were anything but humble: his father Ainars è in fact, a media and energy magnate, while his mother (Milena Pucite) è a very famous film and theater actress in Latvia.
