Not only Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz also ready to fly to Paris

After the news of Jannik Sinner’s departure in the direction of Paris, positive updates also arrive on the Carlos Alcaraz front, who, as well as the South Tyrolean, did not take part in the Internazionali d'Italia to recover from a physical problem ahead of Roland Garros. As reported by several Spanish media, in fact, the Murcian tennis player will reach the French capital on Tuesday, May 22, 2024.

The world number three has played very little this season: after the Australian Open, he played in Buenos Aires and then withdrew in Rio after two games in the match against Thiago Monteiro, won Indian Wells, reached the quarters in Miami, then did not take part in Monte Carlo, Barcelona and stopped in the quarters in Madrid, suffering from the right arm problem. He thus decided to skip Rome, to represent himself directly at Roland Garros.

Earlier today, Alcaraz is expected to have his last training session in Murcia and then leave in the direction of Paris with the intention of participating in the second Slam of the season. As with Jannik Sinner, however, the fact that the Murcian travels to Paris does not automatically mean that he will play the Paris Slam but it certainly leaves some very encouraging signs about his presence.
