Copa America, Argentina show: Lautaro’s double with Peru

More excitement in the Copa America. Argentina also won the third match of its group, thrashing Perù 2-0. The match was settled by Lautaro Martinez, author of both goals that gave the Albiceleste their third consecutive victory in the tournament. The Inter striker is the Copa America’s top scorer, with four goals in three games.
A success that came without Messi. "The situation is improving but è still too early to talk. We will see from day to day and talk about it with the doctors", the words of Samuel, Argentina's assistant coach. The hope è that Messi will be able to return to the field for the quarterfinals, scheduled for next July 4 (Argentina's opponent is still to be determined).
Meanwhile, Argentina relies on Lautaro Martinez, who is responding again and again. The double at Perù certifies the Nerazzurri captain's excellent form: "Leo (Messi) is fine. We hope he can be there the next game. I dedicated the goal to him becauseè I know how much he means to us", the words of Lautaro Martinez himself reported by ESPN.
In the other match valid for Group A, Canada drew with Chile (0-0), thus gaining a pass to the quarterfinals as second in the group. The red waved to Chilean Suazo after 27' of play was decisive. Chile sadly closes a Copa America in which, in three matches, it collected only two draws.
