Federica Pellegrini responds in kind to Thomas Ceccon

During a lengthy interview given to the microphones of the "Stampa", Federica Pellegrini wanted to take the field in the first person in the battle against violence against women, condemning all forms of patriarchy. In addition, the former blue swimmer wanted to respond in kind to the various "attacks" suffered by her male colleagues throughout her career, most recently in chronological order Thomas Ceccon.

"Patriarchy exists and kicks, with roots firmly established and a legacy so deep that it holds up even to the education of new generations that are no longer totally infused with it. Today it is called machismo, overpowering, and it will always be difficult to dismantle it if we do not change the language with which every time, in an increasingly underhand way, it is implied that man's è superior to woman. I am referring to certain lamb-like speech under which to hide vicious and violent concepts and behavior" began the former blue swimmer.

"I am amazed and a little bit it makes me smile. Thomas is not è the first male colleague who tries to belittle me. I wrote to him after the world record, there's a video in Paris of us hugging and in my last season we even swam relays together. Apparently in front of the name Federica Pellegrini someone feels like throwing sticks" added Federica Pellegrini.

"Federica represents nothing to me. She è never came to say a word to me. She minds her own business and I mind my own business. I have seen her train so much. I admired her as a sportswoman, for the rest, sincerely, no" this was Thomas Ceccon&#39s harsh attack on his colleague during an interview given to the microphones of the "Corriere della Sera".
