Now only one piece remains to be completed for the composition of the judging panel

The possibility of an out-of-court settlement between world tennis number one, Jannik Sinner, and WADA is becoming increasingly unlikely. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, tasked with examining the issue related to the alleged doping case, has made official the appointment of two of the three arbitrators scheduled for the proceedings.

The first, chosen by WADA, è Israeli Ken Lalo, known for his expertise in anti-doping and his strict and uncompromising approach. The second, selected by Jannik Sinner’s team, è American Jeffrey Benz, a TAS arbitrator since 2000 and known for his extensive experience. Benz è was also the judge chosen by Simona Halep in a similar case, which resulted in a significant reduction of her doping disqualification. His career è is marked by a diverse resume and deep knowledge of the field.

With the appointment of these two arbitrators, the prospect of a consensual resolution between Sinner and WADA now appears to have all but vanished. There now remains only one piece to be completed for the composition of the judging panel: the designation of the third arbitrator, who will beà appointed directly by the TAS in Lausanne.
