Serie A 2024-2025: Genoa-Milan, the likely lineups

Day number 35 of Serie A will close on Monday evening with the match, scheduled at 9 p.m. at the “Luigi Ferraris” in Genoa, between hosts Genoa and AC Milan, a challenge that pits two of the oldest Italian football clubs, both born before the year 1900. The Grifone, already safe, wants to perform well in front of their home crowd while Milan wants to keep their morale high less than ten days before the Coppa Italia final against Bologna.
The Rossoblù, coached by Patrick Vieira, are aiming for a return to success after picking up just one point in three games, in which they have not scored a single goal, among other things. Against Milan there will be, barring any surprises, Pinamonti as the offensive point of reference, supported by Zanoli, Vitinha and Thorsby. In the midfield expected the’employment of Frendrup and Masini.
Sergio Conceiçao, on the other hand, will continue with the 3-4-3 that has given good answers in the last month, a time frame in which, in the six games played, three victories have come, compared with two draws and one defeat, against Atalanta. In attack, the return of Jovic, who missed the Venice match due to an injury in the warm-up, is possible. At his side Pulisic and Rafa Leao.
Probable lineups:
GENOA (4-2-3-1): Leali; Sabelli, De Winter, Vasquez, Martin; Frendrup, Masini; Zanoli, Vitinha, Thorsby; Pinamonti. All. Vieira.
MILAN (3-4-3): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; A. Jimenez, Fofana, Reijnders, Hernandez; Pulisic, Jovic, Leao. All. Conceiçao.
