Lorenzo Musetti, there's injury: Queen's at risk

Bad news for Lorenzo Musetti. The new world No. 6, who was forced to retire due to a left thigh problem at the beginning of the fourth set of his semifinal match with Carlos Alcaraz at Roland Garros, underwent instrumental examinations that showed a left adductor injury.
It is therefore very complicated to see the Carrara player on court at Queen’s, ATP 500 scheduled on London’s grass from June 16 to 22 in which Musetti is defending the final he reached last year where he surrendered in two sets to US Tommy Paul.
“We do not anticipate the verdict – said coach Simone Tartarini to the microphones of Tuttosport – but the MRI confirmed what had already emerged from the examinations in Paris. There are technical times for recovery and to force it would not make sense”.
“On the grass, the ground can also be very slippery and the adductors get a lot of strain. We don’t make predictions one way or the other. The next few days will be important to make final decisions, again in assonance with what the doctors will say. At the moment I would also talk about the component of bad luck combined with the series of concauses listed earlier. We will try with a view to the future to understand the origin of these problems considering that the physique also has to get used to big marathons such as those to which Lorenzo has undergone in recent months” concluded the coach of the blue.
