Italvolley, second consecutive comeback win against Germany

Blue remuntada. The men’s national team, at the end of a heart-stopping match, claimed its second consecutive victory in Pool 1 of Volleyball Nations League 2025 against Germany 3-2 (21-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-11). The Azzurri, after settling Bulgaria in four sets yesterday, did well this evening to get right on the comeback (down two sets to zero) of a tough and level-headed opponent they had already faced on May 25 in a friendly in Munich.
The young tricolor national team added one more piece to the process of physical growth and, above all, collective understanding on the court, proving that it knows how to get out of difficult situations.
Week 1 of the VNL for the Italian national team will continue tomorrow with the fascinating challenge pitting the World Champions of Italy against the Olympic Champions of France. Tomorrow’s challenge against the transalpine national team will be the 150th official confrontation between the two national teams: in the 152 previous matches, there have been 79 Azzurri victories. In contrast, the last meeting between the two teams was in the semifinals of the Paris Games, where the French won 3-0.
That of tomorrow, June 13, at 8 p.m. local time (2 a.m. Italian time), will be a very different challenge, with many new players on the field on both sides. The match will be televised live on DAZN and the OTT platform VBTV.
