Sergio Ramos spoils Cristian Chivu&#8217s debut on the Inter Milan bench on the first day of Group E at the Club World Cup. At the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, in fact, the Nerazzurri don&#8217t go beyond a 1-1 draw against Monterrey: the Mexican side&#8217s lead with the former Real Madrid player was answered by Lautaro Martinez.

The Inter Milanese team did not go beyond a 1-1 draw against Monterrey.

Making the match is Inter, who in the 22nd minute has a chance to unlock it with Darmian but the Nerazzurri’s outside back devours the lead by kicking high from inside the area. Three minutes later Monterrey punished the Nerazzurri on their first real chance with a winning header from Sergio Ramos on a corner. Immediate reaction from the Nerazzurri but Andrada saves on Esposito. In the final, however, Inter found a well-deserved equalizer with Lautaro who deposited into the net on an assist from Carlos Augusto after an excellent free-kick scheme.

In the start of the second half, great play by Bastoni who serves Barella but his outside touch ends up high. In the 64th minute, a thrill for the Nerazzurri as Canales kicked from outside with his left and slammed against the post. Five minutes later Lautaro makes it 2-1 but is pinched offside on Barella’s assist. In the 77th minute, it was again the Nerazzurri captain who gobbled up the lead by kicking a moving penalty high.

Inter Milan will return to the pitch on Saturday, June 21 at 9 p.m. Italian time against the Urawa Red Diamonds, defeated 3-1 by River Plate, which leads the Group E standings with 3 points.
