Antonio Faravelli at Zoate Golf Club for Golfaround charity event.

Faravelli

Antonio Faravelli, a winemaker and golfer from Montù Beccaria, in Oltrepò Pavese, as well as the owner of the historic Cantine Vitea, was the protagonist of the Golfaround charity event at the Zoate Golf Club. Invited with his wines and his “Golf and Wine 1895” project, Faravelli was once again able to combine sports, territory and food and wine culture.

The Cantine Vitea, with more than a hundred years of history, represent one of the symbolic realities of Oltrepò Pavese. During the event, participants had the opportunity to taste and purchase the winery’s award-winning wines, including some historic labels that, according to tradition, were also appreciated by the famous composer Giacomo Puccini.

Faravelli personally presented the “Golf and Wine 1895” project, receiving unanimous applause from the audience. The initiative was created with the aim of enhancing Made in Italy through a combination of two excellences: golf and wine. The brand intends to become an ambassador of the territory, promoting an experiential tourism that combines the practice of sports with the discovery of typical products.

“Golf and Wine 1895” is envisioned as a real driving force for the revival of golf in Italy, a sport that deserves greater diffusion and support. Faravelli firmly believes in the strength of the brand as a tool to attract visitors, enhance local productions and strengthen the country’s tourism identity. The project aims to position Italy among the top destinations for quality sports tourism.

“Golf,” explains Faravelli, “is fundamental for a country like ours, which has a strong tourist vocation. Where golf grows, the whole allied industry grows: from accommodations to catering, from wine production to employment. This project can be a concrete lever for a homogeneous revitalization of the Italian territory.”
