Thieves in the home of Michel Platini: the former footballer, among others, of Juventus, as well as former president of Uefa, was in fact robbed at dawn on Friday of several memorabilia related to his sports career, including trophies and medals, kept in a garden shed on his property near Marseille. Reporting the news is ‘RTL’ which cites the Marseille prosecutor&#8217s office as its source.

The 1983, 1984, and 1985 Ballon d’Or would not have directly crossed paths with the thief, who vanished just as Platini was trying to figure out what was going on. ‘Le Roi’ would not suffer any physical consequences, while the missing trophies would be around 20, as reported by local authorities to ‘RTL’.

The economic extent of the damage is being assessed, while Platini’s home would show, like the garden shed, signs of forced entry. Meanwhile, the Marseille prosecutor’s office has confirmed the opening of an investigation for aggravated burglary, entrusting the investigation to the local gendarmerie.

A legend of world soccer, Michel Platini wore the jerseys of Nancy, Saint-Etienne and Juventus as a player, as well as that of the French national team. His successes include the 1984 European Championship, while with the Juve jersey he won two Scudetti, one Coppa Italia, one Cup Winners Cup, one European Super Cup, one Champions Cup and one Intercontinental.
