In the run-up to the Gran Premio d’Italia, Scuderia Ferrari has unveiled the special livery that the cars driven by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will sport from Friday, Sept. 5 to Sunday, Sept. 7 at the Monza circuit. The cars will have a red and white color scheme inspired by a great feat of the past: Niki Lauda’s 1975 F1 World Championship win (the first of three titles won by the Austrian).

The Ferrari that will take to the track this weekend is therefore inspired in its coloring by the 312 T was able to win the Drivers’ and Constructors’ titles, sealing the success precisely at Monza, the penultimate round of the 1975 season, with Clay Regazzoni’s victory and Lauda’s third place, which secured the points needed to keep Emerson Fittipaldi at arm’s length.

The uniforms of the drivers, technicians, engineers and mechanics will also recall those of 1975, and Leclerc and Hamilton themselves will wear helmets that recall the style of the era, to pay further homage to the Redhead&#8217s glorious past on the 50th anniversary of one of the most successful seasons for the Prancing Horse stable.

Among other initiatives planned for the 2025 Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari has also announced the presence at Monza of Jean Alesi, one of the most appreciated drivers in the history of the Rossa: 30 years after his only victory in Ferrari (1995 Canadian GP), Alesi before the race will take a lap in front of the fans in the 1995 412 T2, the last car of the Cavallino in F1 to mount a V12 engine.
