Joshua Zirkzee, ambitious Como climbs the ranks

Joshua Zirkzee is experiencing a complicated season at Manchester United: so far he has collected only a few minutes as a substitute, without ever having the opportunity to showcase the talent and game vision he displayed in Serie A with Bologna and, to a much lesser extent, in his brief experience with Parma.
It is precisely this lack of space that could prompt him to make a change of scenery as early as the 2026 winter market. His goal is clear: to find continuity and relaunch himself in view of the upcoming World Cup. A call-up with the Netherlands is far from a foregone conclusion, coach Ronald Koeman is snubbing him at the moment: staying on the sidelines in the Premier League could cost him dearly.
Zirkzee, now 24, does not rule out a future still in England should he say goodbye to United. Everton and West Ham are in the running, but the Italian tracks also remain alive: Juventus and Milan are closely following the situation but the minutes problem would remain. In the background, Stuttgart would be ready to bring him back to the Bundesliga on a loan. In the summer, United had already rejected offers from Juventus and Napoli, betting on him.
The context, however, has definitely changed. With Rasmus Højlund gone right to Napoli, it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will give the green light to another exit in attack. Zirkzee, meanwhile, seems determined not to stay put: the exclusion from ‘Rambo’ Koeman’s radar weighs heavy, and the World Cup is a very strong motivation. Among the possible destinations ticks Como, which could offer him the long-awaited minutes, stability, an ideal environment to start again without pressure but with ambition and a coach, Cesc Fabregas, able to manage him at his best. And the Como option is climbing the hierarchies.
