Brescia falls in Trapani

In the game of the fifth day of LBA first setback for Germani Brescia, defeated 77-75 in Trapani. Not even time to sit in the stands that Alibegovic, triggered by Cappelletti, evades the marking of the direct opponent and, in backdoor, nails a bimane. However, Germani does not flinch and continues to express its basketball, sharing the ball on offense and drawing high-percentage conclusions for Riverse, while Bilan acts as director in the pitturato. Trapani turns up the volume on both ends of the court with Rossato dictating the tempo of the game, lashing out as he approaches the iron. Brescia soon runs out of the bonus and the Sharks take advantage by successfully going to the lunette. At the first siren it is total balance with nineteen points on each side.

The second quarter is inaugurated by a lightning partial of 5-0 by the granata, signed by Sanogo and Ford, who punish the host defense, to which, however, Cournooh answers from the lunette. Trapani shows more presence on defensive rebounding, allowing Allen to run on the counterattack serving the in rhythm teammates. The hosts touch the seven-length lead, forcing coach Matteo Cotelli to pause the clock with the goal of turning things around. At the resumption of hostilities, Della Valle and Bilan try to sound the charge, but Trapani is cynical and retouches the lead to ten points for coach Matteo Cotelli’s second timeout. Germani, after an excellent reaction, suffers the return of the Granata wave, which goes back to the locker room ahead by fourteen points.

The third period, at least in the early stages, is rather compassed and the lineups struggle to make an impact in terms of scoring. Germani, as to be expected, however, put a lot of energy on the floor in hopes of reducing the gap with Ndour and Ivanovic taking offensive responsibilities. Massinburg, valuable coming off the bench, creates numerous headaches for the Sicilian outfit, which struggles to score. Brescia, with courage, determination and increasing volume on defense, gets back on track with a four-point deficit. The Sharks try to shake it off by relying on their most experienced men, and so Hurt stretches the lead via a triple to seven points.

The last fraction of the game is intense and full of emotion. Every possession, in fact, weighs like a boulder within the economy of the final result, and details can make all the difference. Germani attacks head-on, struggling even against the inexorable flowing clock. However, Trapani, with patience and lucidity, retouches the double-digit lead. Brescia, however, is far from lowering the white flag with Ivanovic and Rivers keeping a glimmer of hope alive. Trapani is deadly, but Brescia, dragged by its senators and an immense strength of the whole collective, pegs the result through a support on the glass by Rivers. The granata try the decisive shove with Ford, but Germani has in its hands the possession of the potential lead. Burnell’s prayer is not answered and the triple is printed on the first iron.
