Lorenzo Musetti wins battle with Korda and flies to the finals: between him and the ATP Finals is Novak Djokovic

Lorenzo Musetti beat Sebastian Korda at the end of a battle and qualified for the final of the ATP 250 tournament in Athens: the ATP Finals dream is still intact for the Carrara-based tennis player. L’Azzurro prevailed in three sets with the scores of 6-0, 5-7, 7-5 in two hours and twenty of a hard-fought match suffered until the last, and after saving a match point.
Now between Lorenzo Musetti and the Turin ATP Finals (and the challenge with Jannik Sinner) there’s one last, big obstacle: Novak Djokovic, who qualified by overcoming in the other semifinal German Hanfmann in two sets.
It’s been an up-and-down match for Musetti, who started very strong in the first partial. The U.S. didn’t get off the mark, and the Blue closed out the set in just 20 minutes 6-0.
It could not have been that easy, and in fact the American woke up in the second partial: the challenge remained in balance until 5-5, then Musetti had a blackout of eleven consecutive points lost and suffered the break, losing the set. In the last, decisive partial, Musetti saved a match point in the tenth game, then found the break in the next game and thus clinched the victory. Now it is Djokovic’s turn.
