Camila Giorgi has been called up for the Billie Jean King Cup
Camila Giorgi is ready to return to the court after the long stop following the Us Open. The Macerata tennis player, whose last appearance on the circuit was on Aug. 31 (defeat in the second round of the U.S. Slam against Madison Keys), has been summoned for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, which this year will be played in Glasgow, Scotland, Nov. 8-13.
In addition to Giorgi, Italy’s number two, the list also includes Martina Trevisan (Italy’s number one), Lucia Bronzetti, Jasmine Paolini and Elisabetta Cocciaretto. Ours will take on Switzerland on Nov. 9 and Canada the following day.Giorgi, if she is in condition, will be employed in one of the singles.
