Naples, Amir Rrahmani’s injury is more serious than expected: long stop for the Azzurri central player
Naples, Rrahmani injury: long stop for Parthenopean defender
Amir Rrahmani has undergone instrumental examinations after the injury suffered during the last day of Serie A, which saw Napoli overcome Cremonese 4-1 to take the league lead alone.
The Napoli statement reads, “Instrumental examinations carried out on Amir Rrahmani, following the injury sustained during Cremonese-Napoli, have revealed an injury to the long adductor tendon of the left thigh. The Azzurri defender has already started the rehabilitation process.” So it is a tendon injury for the Kosovar defender: he will definitely have to be out for a month, but he could have even more. It was hoped that the injury would be less serious, but instead the examinations brought bad news.
Luciano Spalletti will thus have to do without his starting central defender until the World Cup break in Qatar, having him back only in 2023. The possible replacements are Ostigard or Juan Jesus, with the Norwegian favored to partner the immovable Kim at the center of the rearguard.
