Juventus is working on a defensive coup in January. The Bianconeri are considering several options on how to reinforce coach Luciano Spalletti’s rearguard, and there is no shortage of sensational options: among them is a possible arrival of Sergio Ramos under the Mole. The Spanish defender, a Real Madrid legend, has decided to leave Monterrey at the end of the year, at the end of his contract with the Mexican club: his goal is to return to Europe to close his career in the soccer that counts. Ramos had already been approached by several European Serie A clubs last summer, including Juventus and Milan.

According to rumors, Sergio Ramos is aiming to relaunch himself in Europe because he still dreams of a call-up to the 2026 World Cup, and he may be interested in an incoming offer from Serie A, especially from a top club like Juventus. Ramos would bring leadership and experience that would be crucial to Spalletti’s lineup, which is still searching for its own identity. However, his recruitment and especially the physical integrity of a player who will turn 40 in March are to be evaluated. The Spaniard is also being followed by AC Milan, which dreams of reuniting him with another former Real Madrid great, Luka Modric.

Another Juventus defense target is Tarik Muharemovic. The Bosnian player, born in 2003, trained for two years in the Juventus youth academy, and the Turin club owns 50 percent of the rights to the future sale of his player card. The Piedmontese club’s management can thus acquire the player by paying him half as much as its rivals. Also on Muharemovic&#8217s trail is Bologna. Juventus must also beware of English interest in Gleison Bremer: Tottenham, in particular, reportedly has its eyes on the Brazilian, who is considered the right profile to reinforce its defense already in the January soccer market.

Spurs, in fact, are experiencing several problems in the defensive phase this season, having already conceded more than 20 goals between the Premier League and the Champions League. The English club had tried an assault on the 1997-born Brazilian center-back back in the summer of 2023, but at that time Juventus closed the door on Tottenham, even before entering into negotiations. Bremer is not considered incedible, but Juventus will not deprive itself of a key player in the January market. The Bianconeri value Bremer at around €50 million: having arrived at Juventus in 2022, the Brazilian has played 96 games so far in the Turin club’s jersey.
