Juventus market: two surprising exits possible in January

Juventus is assessing the situation of two players who could leave the Bianconeri between January and June: the first is Weston McKennie, whose contract expires with the Turin club on June 30, 2026. Luciano Spalletti has also bet on him to revive Juventus, but at the moment the contract extension is blocked. The Turin club risks losing him for free next summer, and if an attractive offer arrives in January the farewell could be sensationally anticipated. The American has several offers coming to his table and is pushing for a higher salary.
Currently McKennie earns 3 million euros, and a higher proposal will be needed to convince him to stay in Turin.
On his trail are Premier League clubs, ready to double his salary, and even in MLS several top clubs are pressing him. At the moment the Bianconeri club is stonewalling but the stop on the renewal is giving the management pause for thought. McKennie has played 17 games this season and under Luciano Spalletti has always started in the league. His versatility and ability to play in multiple roles make him invaluable to the Tuscan coach, who does not want to do without him.
The’other player in the smell of departure is Filip Kostic. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serbian outfielder’s latest performances have attracted the attention of several foreign clubs, including Benfica. Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho is an admirer of his and the Eagles would be ready to step up for the player. Kostic’s contract is also set to expire next June, and an early farewell in the January market is not ruled out. Mourinho likes Kostic after coaching him during his time at Fenerbahce in Turkey. The Serbian outfielder has played 10 games this season, starting as a starter on four occasions, always under Spalletti.
