Marc Marquez is about to get back on a motorcycle. Nearly three months after the injury in Mandalika that forced him to miss the last part of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, the number 93 rider is about to get back to work ahead of next season, where he will go in the hunt for a 10th world title. The Ducatista’s right shoulder recovery is progressing well, as the champion from Cervera explained at the 20th Gala of the Spanish Olympic Committee in Madrid, where he received the Corazón de España award.

“I had just won the championship and in the next race after a collision with another rider I got injured again. Next Sunday will be almost three months, they told me that in three months the bone heals. From next week we will begin to get used to the’throttle again…”, announced Marc Marquez. In truth, the nine-time world champion is already back in the saddle, but on that of a mountain bike. In fact, Marc Marquez in recent days has published some photos of his bike training, heralding his almost complete recovery.

In an interview with GPone, l’former MotoGP rider Marco Melandri tried to predict the future of the Spaniard, whose contract with Ducati expires at the end of the year: “I don&#8217t think he will return to Honda, I think he will close his career in Rosso. In Ducati he knows the environment and knows how they work, plus they are very immediate in meeting his requests. The only reason he might return to Honda would be to secure a nice retirement, but I don”t think he needs it.

“I think there is little to say about what has happened this year. Marquez dominated the season, showing that he was at a higher level than everyone else. Unfortunately, then came the Mandalika incident, but in some ways that injury was almost a good thing”.

“Because he was exhausted, he wanted to get the weight of winning the title and all that tension off his shoulders. This enforced rest allowed him to recharge the energy he needed to come back even stronger at the’beginning of next year”.
