Martina Trevisan also spoke about Jannik Sinner in an interview with Fanpage: the Italian tennis player renewed her esteem for the South Tyrolean champion, who in 2025, just after returning from his three-month suspension for the Clostebol case, played two finals in a row at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, going from the tremendous mockery of the Paris tournament to the immense joy of his first triumph on London&#8217s grass. Behind this incredible recovery of the Azzurro there’s incredible work, Trevisan points out.

Marion Bartoli ruthless on Carlos Alcaraz: "If Jannik Sinner dominates…"

The'former French tennis player in an interview with RMC Sport commented negatively on Alcaraz’s choice to separate from Juan Carlos Ferrero
"If Jannik Sinner wins the first two Slams of the season, the'Australian Open and Roland Garros…"

"… then Alcaraz will hastily recall Ferrero: it is evident"

"Alcaraz is a genius, but if he is not led…"
"Juan Carlos Ferrero always talked to him between one point and another"

"She was telling him what to do from a tactical point of view, whether to retreat in response or serve more outside…"

"He used to coach him after every single point"
According to Bartoli, Alcaraz risks paying dearly for his choice

"Carlos cannot have the same performance without this guide"
"Especially against Jannik Sinner: we already see that it’s all very drawn out, decided on one point"

"It is not enough to rely only on his qualities"

"He will need a great team, otherwise he will not be competitive against the qualities that Jannik Sinner is developing"

"Sinner in Dubai is doing a tremendous volume of work and is continuing to improve"

“We tennis players live with all this, some more and some less and in different situations, because Jannik is in a clearly amplified position. It depends a lot on the person, though: everyone experiences emotions, trophies and defeats in their own dimension. Even Anisimova, for example, had to do tremendous mental work to come back. Jannik in Paris was ahead 40-0, had serve on the 5-3 result, then on Alcaraz’s 40-0 serve, and then again 5-4 on serve. In a match like that it”s a big advantage.

The Blue has had to sustain a huge amount of work, especially on his head, to present himself at Wimbledon at his best after the Paris shock: “I think he has done a huge amount of mental work to arrive ready for Wimbledon and not have the ghosts of Paris” come back. Trevisan also expressed an’opinion about the Battle of the Sexes that is about to go on between Sabalenka and Kyrgios: “I think from a man-woman point of view there are abysmal differences, especially on the physical and strength level. It is obvious that a female top 100 can struggle and even lose to a male junior, I am aware of that”.

“Sabalenka-Kyrgios will be very spectacle, very entertainment-based and, in my opinion, can attract attention and visibility. I have no problem with that. But putting man and woman against each other in such a sport means that the man always has an advantage, because he has physical abilities that we women cannot have”.

On the moment of Italian women’s tennis: “All of them are working very well, even if the ranking may look a little less good, like for Lucia Bronzetti, who is 105. Not being inside the circuit, people think that being 105 is a disaster, but ranking also goes with life. There are times when you play a little worse, you have more points to defend, you are more nervous, your life moment is different, so you are a little more dazed and you are not totally focused on what you have to do”.
