Fiorentina market, Vanoli’s hours are numbered: Paratici prepares revolution

In the purple house there&#8217s a lot of despair about what is happening. The defeat in Parma has made the situation even heavier. Fiorentina is last in the standings with only nine points won and, above all, without showing signs of leaving. Beyond the 5-1 handed to Udinese (in a numerical inferiority), the Gigliati are not finding a way to react. Finger pointed at Vanoli. Arrived, in place of Pioli, to revive the’environment, the former Torino coach is not bringing home the results he hoped for.

To try to shake up an’environment that is increasingly sad and disconsolate, the club has decided to hire Paratici, a former key man at Juve. He will soon take over the (vacant) post of technical director to find a way out of an increasingly dramatic situation. At the moment, it seems that Vanoli is set to remain in his post, at least until the next challenge, at the Franchi, with Cremonese. It’s clear that the former Torino coach has no more credit. He must win and convince to keep his place.

As soon as he is up and running, Paratici will have to make a lot of decisions, and quickly too. Clearly, a real revolution is expected. He will certainly hold talks with several coaches who can take Vanoli’s place. Difficult a return of Pioli (advocated by some fans). More likely a personality coach such as, for example, Paulo Sousa. The Portuguese has already coached Fiorentina (two seasons, from 2025 to 2017) and would have the charisma to deal with such a complicated situation. He currently coaches Shabab Al-Ahli, a club in Dubai.

In addition to figuring out who to entrust the team to, Paratici is also expected to shake up the roster. Some players currently at Fiorentina are expected to pack their bags. New players are needed to try to build something different and, above all, that can work. Time is running out, we need deeds, not words.

The list of possible departures is long: from Richardson to Dzeko, via Comuzzo (if the right offer arrives) and perhaps even Gudmundsson. A few names “inbound” are also circulating. Dragusin could lend a hand in defense, attention also to Disasi, a defender also mentioned to Allegri’s Milan.
