Although he officially retired from racing in 2012, Schumi has remained in the hearts of all F1 fans. In his career, he won 91 GPs and finished on the podium on 155 occasions. In his many years at the helm of the Cavallino (1996-2006), he gave incredible emotions to the people of the Rossa. There are so many who hope that, sooner or later, a miracle will happen and Schumi will be able to improve enough to re-embrace his millions of fans who continue to idolize him and fill him with affection.

“I have been told that Michael Schumacher is able to sit at the table for lunch and dinner”. This was revealed last year by former British driver Johnny Herbert, Schumacher&#8217s own partner for two seasons in Benetton in 1994 and 1995. “I honestly don&#8217t know if it&#8217s true, I don&#8217t want to give false hope. I think he is in the same condition today as he was after the two surgeries he underwent after his fall on skis” however, Herbert, now 59, added in an interview with the British sports information site BettingSites, pointing out that he has only second-hand information.

“I can only read between the lines what had been confided to me, and even from the family I have not come to know much more. The others are aspects that his loved ones want to keep confidential. So much confidentiality I think is due to the fact that there is not much chance of improvement, while what we have to do is to remember Schumacher as we knew him, very fast on the track and a winner in Grand Prix”.

Michael Schumacher is one of the most successful drivers in F1 history: along with Lewis Hamilton, he is the holder of the most drivers’ titles won (seven), he also boasts 91 Grand Prix wins, 155 total podiums, 68 pole positions and 77 fastest race laps. With Ferrari, he won the 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 titles.
