Liverpool is unfazed: after spending more than half a billion euros in the previous two sessions of the transfer market, the Reds are ready to break all spending records in the coming summer. The Reds are once again on the hunt for reinforcements, especially an attacker, and have put one of Europe&#8217s current top players in their sights: Michael Olise.

The French star has had an extraordinary year and a half at Bayern Munich: having arrived from Crystal Palace for 55 million, his value has more than doubled and he is now among the most expensive players in Europe. The numbers say a lot: in 56 Bundesliga games, Olise has scored 22 goals and dished out 36 assists to teammates, making him the most decisive player on the team after Harry Kane.

Liverpool is ready for anything to get him, and they will spare no expense. The latest rumors speak of a €130 million bid to convince Bayern Munich to let him leave: a sum that will not be enough for the management of the German champions, which is strong with a contract until 2029 that currently shields it from any attempt by top foreign clubs.

In Olise’s contract there are no termination clauses, and the player has reiterated several times that he is very comfortable in Germany. In addition to convincing Bayern Munich, the English club would also have to persuade Olise himself to agree to return to England, and could only do so by offering him a stellar salary. Bayern has repeatedly said it is quiet in this respect, and in the past managers Christoph Freund and Max Eberl have reiterated that they fear no surprises.

The complexity of the deal prompts Liverpool to have a Plan B. According to rumors, Reds managers if they fail to sign Olise could turn to Leipzig’s Yan Diomande. The 19-year-old striker fully meets the Reds&#8217s needs, but he costs not much less than Olise, around 100 million.
