Spal, Daniele De Rossi pawing for debut in front of fans
Coach De Rossi’s words
Daniele De Rossi, coach of Spal, presented in a press conference the match against Cosenza, the tenth day of Serie B, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.
The Estense coach began like this, “We will put everything we have on the field to win this match, aware that Cosenza is a very good team and is difficult to face, but it is an engagement within our reach as are all the other challenges. From now on we will have more time to prepare for upcoming engagements and this gives me hope for the future. We are happy and I am looking forward to playing my home opener.
“The first thing I tell the guys,” the Spallino coach continued, “is that if they can get to the goal with two passes I certainly won’t be offended, but I think our forwards are so strong inside the area that I think it’s better to be able to get them as close to the goal as possible, giving them playable balls without looking for them from afar with long balls. Mine is not a construction from the bottom obsessed, but I am convinced that we have players capable of getting out of the opponent’s pressure and, by doing so, create a numerical superiority over the opponent to be exploited to our advantage.”
“Joe is a serious person, and the results he has achieved in his sports career and beyond clearly testify to that. We talked about a project to be developed and a clear path to follow in the near future,” De Rossi concluded.
