Alessandro Magro and the touching dedication to his mother
There are far more important things than a basketball match. And what Germani Brescia coach Alessandro Magro said after the Lombardi’s victory in Ulm was very touching.
“I spend a few more seconds to dedicate this victory to my mother, who is fighting a much bigger battle than a basketball game, and I want to tell her not to give up,” he recounted.
“First of all, from the bottom of my heart I would like to wish Ulm the best,” he had thus began in the press conference, “an organization and a club for which we have a lot of respect and I am sure they can do well in the rest of the season. It was a tough game for us, we struggled but in the first half we were inaccurate in many situations and in pursuit of the opponents. We were able to fight back and somehow take the game to overtime, where we had great energy.”
